4/6/2023 0 Comments Hytale youtubeIt feels like bridging the things you enjoy in your personal life with productive hours at work. Working at Hypixel doesn't feel like work. Making the greatest and technically difficult game in the genre. The company clears every barrier we encounter as a team and allows us to focus on what matters. The next level we want to reach is shipping the game and as an engineer, there is no more challenging task than running a sandbox game with limitless possibilities on unknown hardware. When times were hard, we worked harder, when times were prosperous, we leveled up. It was the wild west and we let no time pass to become #1. When I started at Hypixel we were the underdog in a landscape of Minecraft servers. “I've started at Hypixel before I finished school and now I am standing side by side in an amazing team working on a game for millions of players. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please make note of them in your cover letter or raise them during the interview process. We welcome applicants from all over the world, but availability during the company’s active hours is required. Please note that the company’s official communication overlap hours span GMT-8 to GMT+1. We strongly recommend that all applicants read the Who We Are and Hytale pages to get a full sense of who we are, what we’re making, and why. The three key qualities we look for in applicants are: Roles at Hypixel Studios are either remote or based in our office in Derry~Londonderry, Northern Ireland. We are currently 100+ strong, covering all of the traditional roles of game development as well as a variety of operational functions. Our staff have a diverse set of backgrounds, but share a common passion for games and ensuring that our players are happy. What do you think about this? Im sorry If I sound doomerish, but its just been nagging me for around a year now.Hypixel Studios consists of a team that contribute and collaborate remotely from around the world, with members ranging from games industry newcomers to 15+ year veterans. In all the trailers, clips, teasers and blog posts, we never really found out what these will be like, aside from tidbits like climbing onto ledges and a couple pieces of concept art for tool tiers, with no actual knowledge on how these will function.Additionally, an immense amount of information we have recieved about the game is now pretty much useless, considering that mechanics have been reworked from the ground up multiple times, and that a lot of the teasers we have are around 4 years old, throwing their accuracy into question.Ī few other questions we have absolutely no answer to:Will a Redstone-like system be in place? What will the tech community get out of this game? What means of exploration do we have? How is the inventory managed? Now, this seems a lot like a nitpick, but hear me out: We have absolutely no clue about the very core aspects of the game, those being ressource gathering, exploration and crafting. Before the real post begins, I want to ask you something: What will a player do for, lets say, the first 2 hours after opening Hytale? Will we punch trees? Will we loot small structures until we have our first tools to progress? Will we mine? The answer is: We dont know.
